Individual Therapy

Your willingness to seek help is a courageous step towards healing and change. I believe in the transformative power of a therapeutic relationship and view it as our collaborative effort. In my role as a therapist, I will provide a safe, consistent, non-judgmental, and curious environment that supports your wisdom while guiding your pursuit of valued and meaningful living.

Our partnership will include my extensive education and advanced training working with individuals who have been adversely impacted by relational and attachment disruptions, abuse/neglect, and various traumatic life experiences.

In our work together, we will explore ways in which your painful experiences and unresolved feelings discourage you from creating the fulfilling life you desire. We will enhance your ability to be present with your thoughts and feelings to increase your understanding of how these inner events keep you stuck in habitual behaviors and responses that might no longer serve you. This insight is a key to increasing ‘psychological flexibility and getting unstuck from limiting beliefs and patterns, enabling you to pursue your desired outcomes and respond to life in the most authentic way possible.

I use LGBTQIA+ affirming, social justice-oriented, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approaches to support adults, couples, and group members struggling with a history of complex trauma, addictions, chronic pain, relationship concerns, depression, and anxiety.

While I draw from a number of theories and modalities, including attachment, developmental neuroscience, existential-humanistic, psychodynamic, and solution-focused, I focus on mindfulness and acceptance-informed therapy, particularly Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. This is a 'trans-diagnostic' approach to the problem of suffering, and the pursuit of valued and meaningful living. Many other evidence-based approaches work within this framework.

In my holistic approach to healing and wellness, I offer fitness therapy options to help advance the goals of clients who are interested in this modality. As a former athlete and strength coach, I helped individuals across a broad spectrum of body types and abilities to achieve desired results.
